Workaholism, presenteeism, work–family conflicts and personal and work outcomes: Testing a moderated mediation model

Aims and objectives While research suggests that nurses who experience work–family conflicts (WFC) are less satisfied perform well, these negative outcomes may be more important for some nurses. This study proposes a mediated moderation model wherein the interaction between two individual characteristics, workaholism presenteeism, relates to family life satisfaction work performance with WFC mediating relationships. Background Because limited number of nursing studies have examined potential we extend past address question how presenteeism affect nurses’ functioning. Design We used cross-sectional questionnaire survey design test our hypotheses. STROBE guidelines were followed in designing reporting this study. Methods A total 419 completed measures workaholism, WFC, performance. Results revealed relationships (family performance) through stronger among characterised by high levels presenteeism.
